About CNC

The manufacturing sector is rapidly evolving to more sophisticated and advanced CNC machine tools. Our program enables students to meet those challenges by learning on state-of-the-art machines and software. Students learn advanced CNC techniques using industry standard controls like FANUC. Mitsubishi, Fadal, and Siemens. Our shop is equipped with 3-axes turning centres (C-axes with live tooling) and machining centers with up to 5 axes. We teach CAM programming using the acclaimed Master CAM X2 software package.

Program outline

The CNC – Numerical Control Machine Tool Operator program leading to a AVP is a 885 hour course.

**Students who have a DEP in Machining Techniques will be given credit for those modules. Please contact RTC for further details.
Individuals with industry experience may register for the CNC AVS certification.

Evening program (5 hrs/evening): approximately 10 months.
