Introducing the Rosemount Technology Logo
Built upon a tradition of success, the Rosemount Technology Centre has become the largest English language vocational centre in Quebec. The individual and collective dreams and efforts of many people including teachers, administrators, and students have played a vital role in the creation of this dynamic educational institution. With a solid foundation in theoretical and practical applications, flexibility and the pursuit of excellence has enabled RTC to achieve technical excellence in numerous fields which are noted for their rapid technological advances.

The new logo, shown at the top of this page, is based upon the hexagonal shape of the original RTC logo (shown to the left). From this geometric foundation, which represents the early stages of vocational learning, the shape is transformed into an isometric cube balanced on its edge. This isometric shape suggests a secondary stage of learning which requires the representation of a three-dimensional concept common in many technological vocations.

On a graphic level, the two white stripes, set at a diagonal within the cube, lift the viewers eyes and emphasize the dynamic, directional experience of learning. The font chosen for the rtc letters are bold and sturdy yet the informality of the lowercase letters and distinctive curved shapes remind viewers that the learning environment at RTC is student centered.

Beneath the RTC font a series of red dots travel across the page. These dots, along with the word "Technology" which is also in red, bring the viewer into the digital future where RTC continues to achieve dreams.
